Richmond is accessible by train, plane, or bus.
Richmond International Airport (RIC) is located 10 miles outside the city. To get to and from the airport, there are taxis or rental cars.
Richmond has two train stations: Staples Mill Road (RVR) and East Main Street Station (RVM). Most trains come into Staples Mill Road (8 miles from downtown). Main Street is located in the heart of downtown (0.2 miles to the Courtyard Richmond Marriott). Trains go south to Norfolk, VA and north all the way to New York City (and beyond!).
